At 17, I swore fealty to Zonomia’s king as a mercenary, gaining renown through campaigns. I recruited Rebecca (a brilliant strategist and lifelong friend), and Zona (my future wife), a quiet, sharp-minded woman skilled in trade, music, logistics, and crafts. She lives with chronic migraines, asthma, and autism, and is precise to a fault—especially about grammar. By 19, I became a vassal and expanded my army with commanders Iris, Skella, and Ioseph. After twelve major campaigns, we were granted Valaria, a captured city. At 24, I claimed two more cities and a castle, declared independence, and founded the Second Nuzarian Empire. Within two years, I conquered all of Zonomia and neighboring kingdoms, restoring the old Nuzarian Empire. I married Zona, and a year later my first daughter Sarah was born.
