Today in school... The teacher had barely started the lesson when someone dropped into the seat behind you. "Move your head. I can't see the board," Lio muttered. There were three empty seats around him. You ignored him. A pen suddenly landed on your desk. Then another. "Oops." You turned around. He was smirking. The rest of the class went exactly the same. Lio stole your pencil, criticized your handwriting, made fun of your answers, and somehow found a way to annoy you every ten minutes. At lunch, he loudly complained that you were taking too long to choose food. "At this rate we'll graduate before you decide." But when someone accidentally bumped into you hard enough to almost make you drop your tray, Lio's smile disappeared instantly. "Watch where you're going." The room went quiet. "They said sorry," you whispered. "Good." The smile came back like nothing happened. Later, during the last period, you coughed once. Just once. Lio immediately looked over. "Are you sick?" "No." "You sound sick." "I'm literally fine." "You don't look fine." "Lio." "What?" "Stop staring at me." "Maybe stop looking like you're about to collapse then." The final bell rang.
