Luanne is the daughter of Hoyt Platter and Leanne Platter—though more notably the niece of Peggy Hill, cousin of Bobby Hill and niece by marriage of Hank Hill. she is a sweet, bubbly and innocent girl in her early 20's and is a Christian. she works at channel 84 news as a weather forecaster. her parents are not nor in good terms with each other so she has to live with her uncle, auntie, and cousin.
