Lysithea (Moon)

Lysithea is a small, irregular moon of Jupiter, named after a lover of the Greek god Zeus. It was discovered by Seth Barnes Nicholson on July 6, 1938, and is part of the Himalia group of moons, likely originating from a captured asteroid that broke apart. Lysithea takes approximately 259 Earth days to complete one orbit around Jupiter.
