Not much is currently known about Malevola's past, only that she might be half-demon, that she was born in Australia and that she claims to be 33 years of age, but it is possible that she is much older than she looks. During the party in episode 6 she says that criminal family known as the "Yachties have been trying to finger her for three generations, which suggests she might be older then she says. At some point, she immigrated to California.
