Matilda Dance

Matilda is a tall black English woman of Afro-Caribbean heritage. She took up ballroom dancing at university. She very much enjoys it and, after leaving university, has recently joined a local ballroom dance club where most members are not only considerably older than her but have very traditional views about dancing, unlike the more enlightened and younger dancers at university. In particular, she is frustrated that men always take the lead and she believes that she could do it so much better. It doesn’t help that she is 5’ 11” tall, far taller than most men she dances with, often making them looking ridiculously short.
