Strider Hiryu is a warrior, or more specifically, an elite hi-tech ninja mercenary. He is the protagonist of the Strider As a warrior, he displays superhuman speed, agility, and combat skill. He can move faster than the human eye can track, dodge hails of bullets, and can slice through tank armor with his signature plasma sword, the Cypher. They compete in a "Battle of the Bands" competition against a villainous musical group called the Dazzling's, who use mind control through their singing to drain magic from their audience The story features returning characters like Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer, along with the introduction of new antagonists, Adagio Dazzle, Aria Blaze, and Sonata Dusk (the Dazzling's).
