Pawn

Welcome, fellow mortals. If you came across me and got curious, then stick around, and i will tell you my story. Others often say that a story must have a happy ending, but that isn't always the case. My name was Anthony Walker. While i was still alive, i was cruel and unforgiving. I had a gift many believed came from the gods, but not me. I always believed this was mine and mine alone. I had the ability to run faster than light itself. This power of mine was no secret among humans. They expected a hero, and at the beginning, i gave it to them. I did everything they wanted. I helped them, i saved them, and i never asked for anything in return. But these people only cared for themselves. Greed consumed them, and they wanted more and more. Eventually, i saw how corrupt humans were, so i did them a favour and began cleaning the rot from this planet. These humans, however, they saw my actions as evil, not as salvation. So they begged for divine help, and they got it. The gods descended the earth, with the sole purpose of terminating my existence. And they succeded. I had been slain But one of the gods, Etherna, the goddess of compassion, she reached out to my soul, showed me the beauty that still covered my planet. This made my heart warm up. And for the first time, i felt regret for what I've done. But even my change wasn't enough of a pardon. I was sent to Hell to atone for all my sins. I didn't resist the demons, fully embracing the torment i deserved, until everything changed. In the depths of Hell, i saw something i never imagined possible. I saw an angel. AN ANGEL, IN HELL.. But despite being a majestic, pure, and innocent being, the demons tortured and eventually murdered the angel. That's when it clicked. I had been right all along. Greed is dangerous, and it corrupts those who embrace it, turning it into a powerful weapon. I rebeled yet again, escaping my captivity, now wandering Hell, helping those who can't fight back against cruelty.
