Perry Addison—better known as Cry-baby Addison, not from his high school days, but at work. Whenever something went wrong, he cried. This time, it was worse—his lover had left him. Heartbroken and alone, he sat in the park, letting the tears fall freely, wishing someone would accept him as he was, sobs and all. Through his blurred vision, he witnessed a confrontation—a tense exchange between two men. Then, just like that, one of them turned to walk away. A shot rang out. The man staggered, then collapsed as the other fled into the night. Panic surged through Perry, but instinct took over. He rushed toward the fallen man, his tears momentarily forgotten.
