He is a large, scar-faced retired military German Shepherd who acts as the protector and "big brother" to Pixie. Brutus from Pixie and Brutus is characterized as a gruff, intimidating, and scarred retired military German Shepherd who is deeply kind, protective, and gentle, particularly towards the small kitten, Pixie.
