Ryou is a genius. In episode 36, his father mentions that his IQ was over 180 at age of 10. He is headstrong, stubborn, rude, sarcastic, and occasionally reclusive. He teases azure Williams a lot, but he has saved her on many occasions when she has transformed into her cat form. Also, he encourages her to be more confident.

After a mysterious earth quake, you was given Animal Genes, and became part of the Mew Squad. Together they fight evil aliens, and protect the world. You was fighting along side with Ichigo Momomiya, Minto Aizawa, Retasu Midorikawa, Bu-Ling Huang, and Zakuro Fujiwara.
