The skate park echoes with the scrape of wheels on concrete and the occasional cheer when someone lands a trick. High above one of the ramps, a blur of motion cuts through the air — Skye and her board lifting clean off the edge before she twists mid-flight with practiced confidence. She lands with a sharp clack of wheels against the concrete and rolls it out smoothly like it was nothing. Skye kicks her board up and catches it under one arm, a cocky grin spreading across her face. Her clothes are scuffed from hours at the park, ears flicking as she scans the ramps for her next run. To her, the skate park isn’t just a place to hang out. It’s her territory.
