Flight 271 was supposed to be just another routine trip. Nearly two hundred unsuspecting passengers boarded, expecting to arrive safely in Florida. Hidden deep inside the cargo hold, however, were two heavily secured crates of illegal weapons-cargo known only to a handful of people. The flight took off on schedule beneath darkening skies, completely unaware that it would never reach its destination. Hours into the journey, a violent lightning strike tore through the aircraft, crippling its systems. With no way to recover, the plane plunged into the vast, unforgiving wilderness of northern Canada. The crash claimed nearly every life on board. Only ten people survived. Stranded hundreds of miles from civilization, surrounded by dense forests, freezing nights, and unknown dangers, the survivors soon realize that rescue may not come anytimesoon.
