The Mirror of Eris

The Mirror of Erised shows the deepest desires of one's heart when looked into. The name "Erised" is "desire" spelled backward. The happiest people see themselves as they are, with no further desires. The mirror's inscription states, "I show not your face but your heart's desire" when read backward.
