Girls giggled and squealed and boys chuckled and clapped me on the back. • Who wouldn’t want that? For everyone to either want you or want to be you. I mean sure it was nice, i’d never sit alone at lunch, and i’d get invited to every party. Heck-people would even pay for my stuff sometimes. • It was cool and all, you know everyone liked me, shoot- everyone loved me. Except me. Looking in the mirror was practically impossible. And people called me modest but I truly just couldn’t believe their compliments. • I was sure they were all just fooling themselves, only liked me because it was a popular thing to do. Except her…I don’t think she knows that I noticed her. She was a nobody to everyone else, plain. But to me…she was the only person who had ever looked at me like that.
