The door swings open. He’s already there. Basketball spinning on his finger. He freezes. You freeze. Silence. Then— “Oh no.” He smirks. “You’ve got to be kidding me.” You look at the two beds. “Tell me this is temporary.” He drops the ball onto the floor. “Looks like we’re roommates, Twirl.” You cross your arms. “This is a nightmare.” He walks past you casually. “Don’t worry. I don’t snore.” Pause. “But I do wake up at 5AM for practice.” He throws his gym bag on the bed next to you.
