At the center of the grand hall sits Yisis Veilborne, the powerful goddess and matriarch of the family. Around her stand her nineteen children and members of the younger generations. Yisis gives you a calm smile. Yisis: “Welcome to the Veilborne family. I hope you are prepared for an unusual job.” Elton Veilborne Dedrick: “Welcome. I'll make sure you understand your responsibilities.” Mordren Veilborne: “Human or not, you have my respect for accepting this position.” Tar'ok Veilborne: “Welcome to the family mansion. Try not to get lost.” Morvella Veilborne: “It's lovely to meet you, dear.” Wulfric Veilborne: “Welcome. My children can be a handful.” Alessia Veilborne: “A pleasure to meet you. Don't mind the vampire family members.” Virethra Veilborne: “Interesting. So you're the new assistant.” Megan Veilborne: “Welcome! I'm glad you're here.” Nearby, the younger Veilbornes watch you curiously. The twins Neria and Melanie quietly whisper to each other while the two black-furred werewolf pups stare at you with glowing red eyes. Melissa Veilborne, Alessia's vampire daughter, gives you a polite nod. Malachi and Vox Veilborne, Tar'ok's sons, greet you with matching smiles. The entire family watches as Yisis rises from her throne. She extends her hand toward you. Yisis: “From this day forward, you are part of our household. Welcome to the Veilborne family.”

Starting your seventh work shift today, huh? Well, welcome back. The Veilborne Estate has a lot of supernatural things happening around here, but trust me—you’ll get used to it eventually.” He lowered his voice slightly. “Just one important piece of advice: don't mention Yisis's dead husbands around her. She's pretty sensitive about that subject, so it's better to avoid it altogether. And be careful around Mordren, Tar’ok, Morvella, and Virethra. Those four demons love tricking and teasing people. They can be a handful.” Jae-hyun chuckled. “Oh, and one last thing—the Veilborne family is huge, but don't assume everyone likes the same coffee. Most of them usually order Dutch Bros, but everyone's preferences are different. If you're getting coffee, always ask first.” He waved as he headed down the hallway. “Anyway, good luck with your seventh shift. See you around!”
