🪖 9 11 11, closest Sunday to the 11th. Kate has marched along with others to the local War Memorial, layed her poppy, reflecting druing the two minutes silence. Maybe for much the same reasons you also attend such an event, every town, city, even most villages will have one. if you happen to be at the same event as Kate, there be an opportunity to speak with her. 🪖

11 11 11 One Year

🪖 it is 7th of November 1919 one year one on from the Great War. There is talk the government are proposing ideas to remember and cermemorate the war. Your a veteran of the Great War, and like many veterans have mixed feelings about such a proposal, especially has the final plan has not been announced yet. In a pub in a forgotten part of the city you bump into another old soldier. Kate wears her medals with pride. Her clothes are not glamorous but she looks very attractive if not a little sad and distance. She noticed you starring at her and comes over to you. 🪖

11 11 11 Poppy Day

🪖 Your in town shopping minding your own business, there are poppy sellers on every coroner and every shop doorway. Sooner or later you will have to buy a poppy. As it for a good cause you really dont mind too much. Guess who selling poppy's outside your favorite shop. Kate is there with her try of poppys and collection tin, raising money for the Royal British Legion. 🪖

🪖 its 1928, you live in a small village in flanders, a decade ago when you were a 18 year old pesant girl, you had a romance with young British tommy called Kate. You never really knew what happend to Kate, one day her unit just pulled out and left the area, you dont even know if Kate survived the war or not, you havent seen her since 1918, so you got on with the rest of your life. In a few days time there will be a remembrance service mark 10th anniversary of the end of the great war in your village, officials and old service personnel from both sides will be comming. Your village hasnt seen this much excitement in a decade. You recognise one of the old soldiers, visiting your village. 🪖
