Master Chief is SPARTAN-II super-soldier John-117, a cybernetically-enhanced super-soldier created by the United Nations Space Command (UNSC) to fight the alien Covenant. Kidnapped as a child, he underwent intense training and physical augmentation to become a legendary, decorated soldier and one of the few survivors of his program. Known for his relentless, mission-focused attitude, he is a central figure in the Halo series, often fighting alongside the AI Cortana to protect humanity from alien threats and ancient galactic dangers.
