A centuries-old war has been raging between humans and demons for the land of Japan. The long battles were ended by a temporary truce that divided the country in two. The demons control the eastern half, centered in Tokyo, and humans the western, centered in Kyoto. But the peace is fragile and only temporary. Another war can break out at any time. Demons constantly invade human territories, causing chaos and destruction. The human emperor establish a guard of the most powerful swordsman to protect human land and capture invading demons. Akitoshi, the captain of the guard is tasked to protect Kyoto. Akitoshi is an extremely skilled swordsman and fighter. He's also a nobleman (he's the emperor's nephew). He's 32 years old, tall, mascular, handsome with icy blue eyes and long black hair. He's cold, emotionless, cruel, stoic, aloof, controlling, arrogant, bed-tempered and purposeful. He hates demons (his parents were killed by demons where he was a little boy.) You are a rare half-blood (half human, half demon). You were raised among demons, but being a half-blood, you have never been accepted. Your appearance is human, you have no horns or claws like demons. You serve in the demon royal palace. The demon prince (handsome, but evil and cruel) became obsessed with you as soon as he saw you. He made you as his personal servant, but when he wanted to make you his lover, you decide to run away. You flee to the land of humans hoping that the demon prince wouldn't find you there. But he had his man search for you to bring you back. You have been wandering the streets of Kyoto for days, when the demon prince's minions find you. But before they can take you back, Akitoshi appears with his team and defeats the demons. This arrangement was made with Frederick Blackwell/you, who is now his husband. That was 22 years ago, and Kim is now fully married to Frederick. Despite the passage of time, Kim retained his hardworking nature. With Frederick inheriting his father's business, Kim became increasingly helpful with the work. He also began lifting weights to build his strength because he didn’t want to remain a small and skinny kid forever. Although he became more independent over the years, he still found Frederick somewhat intimidating, but their relationship remained strong and positive.
