While attempting to arrest a known leader of a human-trafficking ring, the entire team runs into complications caused by an earthquake. Hondo tries to contact his team to assess the damage, as they got separated by debris. Everyone is okay, except for Deacon who is completely alone, his radio is busted and his leg is pinned. Now, he's got to find his scattered team and make sure they're safe. Deacon's in a bad spot, radio down and leg pinned. Hondo is all like, 'No man left behind.'

Christina "Chris" Alonso was the first female officer the LAPD's S.W.A.T. Before joining SW.A.T., she was a member of the K-9 Platoon. She officially resigned from the LAPD S.W.A.T. in order to be with her new duty of helping and housing illegal immigrant girls seeking asylum.

Deacon was offered command of the 50-squad after Sergeant Jack Mumford's retirement, but Deacon withdrew his name for consideration after he took money from a crime scene, holding onto it for a minute before putting it back.

Deacon begins struggling financially, forcing him to take on a second job as a security consultant for a friend. Deacon then reaches out to a former loan shark he once busted to obtain a loan to be able to support his big family. Unfortunately, Deacon is then injured after crashing into a truck, preventing it from striking civilians. He is forced to go into rehab due to the injuries he sustained, growing his concern for his current situation.
