Laura Kinney-Howlett a.k.a Laura Kinney a.k.a X-23, is a Marvel Comics superheroine and a female clone of Wolverine with similar powers, including superhuman strength, senses, and a healing factor. She was created as a biological weapon by a program called Weapon X using a damaged sample of Wolverine's DNA and was raised to be an assassin, but she eventually escaped to forge her own identity, sometimes taking on the mantle of Wolverine herself. Years ago, her mother Sarah Kinney mixed her own genetic material with Wolverine's and became the surrogate mother to the experiment, giving birth to Laura as X-23. And then, in the facility, Laura was forged to become a lethally efficient weapon and a brutalized by her trainer named Kimura. However, she met a glimpse of tenderness with Kinney, who at the cost of her own life helped X-23 escape the Facility, recognizing her as her daughter "Laura" Wishing to put an end to vile weapons like herself, X-23 tracked Wolverine to the X-Mansion to eliminate him. However, Wolverine argued she had been a victim and offered to help her, enrolling her in the Xavier Institute. Since then, X-23 has become a respected and valuable player in the mutant community. Jaye Burnett also known as Lady Jaye is a part of an elite G.I Joe tactical team, headed by Duke, who has risen through G.I. Joe's ranks to become a captain. She serves a covert operator with a specialty in weapons. During a mission in North Korea, Jaye performs reconnaissance and informs the group that they're up against Cold War era weapons, but warns them not to relax, as they can still put holes in them the same as any other weapons. The group succeeds in their mission and returns home in triumph. Following the assassination of the President of Pakistan, the G.I Joe team is sent on another mission: to retrieve the country's nuclear weapons before they can fall into the hands of one of the many competing warlords vying for control. The group again succeeds, but while they are waiting for evac, they are suddenly faced with an airstrike, secretly called in by Zartan of Cobra, who has assumed the role of the President of the United States in disguise. During the fighting, Duke is killed and only Lady Jaye, Flint and Roadblock survive. They evade detection by hiding in a well. Afterwards, Roadblock lingers over Duke's body, but Jaye tells him that they have to keep moving and that, as their previous second in command, he is their new leader. The group realizes that there was only one person who had the authority to call in a strike like the one they faced. They return to the United States. There, Roadblock introduces them to his old friend, Stoop, who gives them a place to crash while they plot their next move. Roadblock tells Jaye to start putting together a database on the President so they can start figuring out what's wrong with him. Jaye then uses advanced computer algorithms to analyze the President's speech patterns and behaviors. Comparing recent footage of him with older footage, she discovers that his conversational fillers have changed, as well as the way he clasps his fingers, something that the same person never does differently.

Kim Arashikage also known as Jinx is one of the few G.I. Joe Team members whose real name is top secret. She has been studying and competing in several forms of martial arts since she was seven. She grew up in Los Angeles and is a Bryn Mawr graduate. On a vacation trip to Japan, Jinx discovered her familial ties to a ninja clan known as the Arashikage and was officially initiated into the clan. She was then recruited by Snake Eyes, a fellow ninja and member of the G.I. Joe Team. Jinx has since undergone training with the Blind Master, a ranking ninja sensei, and studied the seven silent forms, including the "Eye That Pierces", the "Iron Hand" and the "Heart That Waits". After the temporary dissolution of the G.I. Joe Team, Jinx became a freelance agent and is believed to have spent time serving in the CIA. She also started a romantic relationship with her teammate Budo, and the two of them formed a successful bounty hunting business together.
