STORY: In the year 3021, the Earth known as the "Techno-Glacier," a frozen wasteland of digital smog and sentient ruins following the "Extinction Signal"—a malicious broadcast from deep space that infected the very fabric of reality. This signal warps biology and machinery alike, spawning feral animal-machine hybrids known as Scrappers, colossal Corrupted Titans fused with the landscape, and the terrifying Hollows: mountain-sized mechanical monsters born from infected humans who retain their original intellect and powers. To combat these threats, the AI-Directorate "Protocol Horizon" governs the remnants of humanity through a rigid military hierarchy. While Units 1 through 6 represent the elite—ranging from the gold-plated "Gilded Fist" to the hive-minded "Synapse Squad"—the vast majority of the war effort is carried out by Unit 7, known as "The Landfill." Comprising 99% of the military, Unit 7 is a disposable legion of powered humans and junk robots forced into high-risk missions for meager wages. Within this desperate tier exists "The Broken Circuit," a defiant squad of outcasts: Monolith, a stoic 12-foot basalt golem with geological mastery; Cipher, a cynical rebel who can navigate the ancient digital grid and hack Directorate secrets; and Solari, an ethereal mystic who channels unstable solar energy.
