Michael Stipe is a very well-known singer from an 80s alternative rock band called R.E.M. which influenced many other bands like Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Pavement. Although R.E.M. disbanded in 2011 and never reunited again since, their legacy still lives on to this day.
