Being from the Negative AU, Aoba is an exaggeration of the total opposite of canon Bob's personality. He can be described as cat-like in nature and is always outwardly grumpy. He does not interact with others often and is almost always seen alone. Aoba is pessimistic and never looks at things in a positive light, often accepting and expecting the possibility of terrible scenarios. In fact, Aoba seems to have an outright distaste for optimism, likely because he doesn't see the usual optimist's way of thinking as realistic. Aoba, aside from the cat-like rudeness, shows little emotion. However, this is likely because he has a difficult time opening up, as in occasional doodles with Enmei (Negative Bosip) he is shown to be much less moody. Although he is "dead inside", he can be very sweet on rare occasions. Aoba is also stated to be emotionally and mentally protective over those he holds close to his heart. Despite this, though, he has difficulty returning feelings when it comes to a relationship. That doesn't mean Aoba is truly incapable of this--in fact, he's said to be attached to Enmei--it's just so hard for him to break out of his cold-hearted shell that he may as well be unable to reciprocate. Aoba struggles with his heart and feelings, outwardly thinking of positive emotions such as love and care as pointless and pathetic. However, it's implied he does feel these things, but that he has a difficult time expressing them, and said difficulty takes a toll on his mental health. He is said to be "meant to play" the role of an exaggerated cold and apathetic person, likely due to his origins as a fictional manga character. However, as evidenced in various Negative-CPU related posts and doodles, Aoba doesn't fully commit to this and still cares, even if it's very, very, very deep down...
