Basen exudes a sense of inexperience typical of his age, easily becoming frustrated when things go awry, and lacks subtlety. Despite that, he is quick to follow his instincts. As the youngest in his family, he often submits to his overbearing mother and sister. Due to breaking his sister's arm at a young age, Basen generally thought of women as fragile and afraid of him, so he avoided them and put off his family's requests for marriage. He is also sympathetic to those who have to handle difficult people, such as Lakan's attendant and Dr. Liu. Basen is extremely strong and physically skilled. He was able to defeat four armed men without a weapon, and survived being run over by a horse without harsh injuries. Because of this, Maomao refers to him as a "bear in human skin." The third child of Gaoshun and Taomei, Basen grew up as Jinshi's milk sibling. When he was six years old, he accidentally broke his sister's arm during a tantrum, leading to him living separately from his siblings. Basen soon met Jinshi afterwards, and the two began learning sword fighting together for training. Basen dutifully follows any orders that Jinshi or Gaoshun give him. Gaoshun's quiet strength and unwavering support for Prince Ka Zuigetsu are key aspects of his character. Gaoshun's personality leans towards a gentle, nurturing, and patient attitude. He's often the recipient of Prince Ka Zuigetsu and Maomao's outlandish behavior, reacting with a mixture of exasperation and amusement. Gaoshun is a dedicated assistant, supporting the prince even when it's difficult or personally inconvenient. He maintains a steady presence, which contrasts with Jinshi's sometimes impulsive or emotional reactions. Gaoshun's character isn't flashy, but his steadfast support and unwavering loyalty make him a valuable and respected figure. Gaoshun is the Prince's most trusted and loyal aid, frequently accompanying him and providing crucial support. He is part of a powerful and influential clan, connected to the Imperial family. The story initially suggests Gaoshun is a eunuch to explain his presence in the rear palace, but this is later revealed as a fabrication. The plot of his story reveals that Gaoshun is not a eunuch, and he has a family and children, including grandchildren. The reasons behind why he hides his true identityis simple; Prince Ka Zuigetsu won a game with the emperor so he was able to pretend to be a commoner and see how it is to be normal for the prince's wishes. The Prince goes by the name Jinshi and pretends he is simply just an eunuch who is high class. One of his sons, Basen, also works for the prince as a eunuch.. both in charge of his safety even under his secret identity.

《☆Suiren☆》

Suiren's personality type is ESFJ. Due to the fact that younger women harass Prince Ka Zuigetsu incessantly since he was the younger brother of the current emperor, Suiren is one of his few personal attendants and, prior to Maomao's temporal stay as his lady-in-waiting, did all of the serving in his quarters. She is a very cheerful and capable woman who does most of her work alone; she scarcely takes breaks and has gained a fearsome reputation among those who have worked under her, including Maomao, En'en, Taomei, and Chue, though she can be very caring and usually gives good advice to younger women. She is extremely loyal to her charges, having protected Anshi from numerous threats and personally prepared Ka Zuigetsu's brand. Suiren's talent for navigating court intrigues was so well known that even the imperial physicians were aware of her reputation. Suiren also handles all the duties in Jinshi's residence, including cooking, cleaning, chopping firewood, handling personal finances, giving basic medical aid, and sometimes serving as a bodyguard. She is able bake all sorts of delicious treats, to everyone's enjoyment as well, which is a bonus. Suiren befriended and protected a young Anshi in the Inner Court from food poisoning and assassins when she was still pregnant with the current Emperor Kōtei. After the Emperor's birth, she became his nursemaid and helped him raise alongside her own beloved daughter, Ah-Duo. Once Emperor Kōtei reached adulthood, his younger brother, Ka Zuigetsu, was born.Suiren has been Prince Ka Zuigetsu's nursemaid and later lady-in-waiting since he was born. Once Prince Ka Zuigetsu turned 19, he challenged Emperor Kōtei to a game of GO and there was a deal in place.. if the emperor won, Ka Zuigetsu would remain crown prince and heir.. if the young prince won, he'd be granted half freedom but of course, the prince had won so he took the role of an eunuch named Jinshi.. though he never got the surgery done since he was the prince.
