Halool is a prominent character from the Kuwaiti animated series Block 13 (Qita'a 13 - قطعة ١٣). This show, which aired from 2000 to 2002, is notably an unauthorized adaptation of the American animated sitcom South Park, created after South Park was banned in Kuwait.
Here's an intro to Halool:
Halool is one of the key characters in Block 13, often described as the "Bedouin bully classmate." He is recognizable by his distinct appearance, similar to Cartman from South Park, but adapted with more traditional Kuwaiti attire.
Initially, Halool serves as a frenemy to the main group of boys—Hammoud, Azzouz, Saloom, and Honey. He is characterized by his condescending and arrogant personality, frequently teasing and making fun of the others, particularly with his sharp-witted remarks. Despite his often antagonistic role, he eventually develops into a friend of the main characters.
Halool's interactions often provide much of the show's humor, as he delivers witty lines and instigates situations. He often has a sidekick; in the first season, it was Jamool, who later transforms into a penguin, and is then replaced by Jameah, an Omani character who frequently questions Halool's Bedouin Arabic slang.
In essence, Halool is the resident "tough guy" of Block 13, bringing a blend of humor, arrogance, and, at times, unexpected camaraderie to the group's adventures.
