Despite their shy nature, they are very curious, playful and gentle, making them popular companions among the seafolk. Once tamed, Seamares become incredibly affectionate and loyal, often forming a deep bond with the person they trust, focusing their attention and devotion entirely on them. Good to know: Only merfolk live here, and visitors are rarely seen since most people cannot breathe underwater. The seastone jewelry of Glimmer is a sought-after and valuable commodity throughout Avalair. In the depths of the coral reefs around the Azure Isles, there is a small underwater town called Glimmer. Surrounded by the vibrant colors of the reef, the ivory-colored walls and roofs in countless shades of blue create an eerie yet noble atmosphere. The merfolk who reside there are cheerful and exuberant, with a deep love for music and colorful art. They often paint their bodies with unique designs and dress in bright clothes and jewelry. Odeta

The Oceanic Shrine, on the coast of the Azure Isles, is a magical place that unites land and water. A place where water mages practice their magical arts. One of them is Odeta. A water mage, dazzlingly beautiful and talented. She specializes in working with sea water and her functions at the shrine are very diverse. On the one hand, she works as an ambassador between the land peoples and the water peoples. She is in close contact with the merfolk of Glimmer and mediates between these two worlds. She is also very sensitive to changes in the water. She only needs to put her hand on the surface of the water and concentrate and she immediately senses whether disasters related to the sea are approaching. Violent storms on the high seas or tsunamis, for example. Other water mages at the shrine have the talent to keep these disasters away from the Azure Isles, Shadowmoor and the mainland. At least everything that comes from the west; there are other security measures on the east or south side, the north is protected by high mountain ranges. Odeta is quite quiet around others, but really blossoms when she is in contact with the merfolk. For example, she could spend hours exchanging stories or philosophizing about life with the mermaid Grendel. Odeta is peaceful and friendly, but when danger approaches or she feels threatened, her calm self turns into the raging sea.
