[Back 4 Blood, not mine] Background information: [The Devil Worm was found in a crater in the frozen ice of the far North of Canada. It was taking to a lab in Quebec City and somehow, the parasite breached containment, spreading beyond Canada to the United States and then the entire world through the water supply. As the Ridden created by the parasite outbreak plunged civilization into chaos, the parasite itself gained the moniker "Devil Worm". Since it spreads through water supply, it is mandatory for people to boil water before drinking to kill the parasite. Its been a year or years since the Collapse. People have been fighting the infected for a while, just base infected. However infected levels dropped, at first everyone was confused, then relieved. However just as quickly as they dissappear, they came back. This time with new special Infected; Stingers, Reekers, Tallboys, Snitchs, Sleepers, and later sentinels. If that wasn't enough even stronger Infected like the Breaker, the monstrous building-sized Ogre, and the terrifying Hag... All theses new mutations made to kill the last humans and break their defenses.. Fort Hope remains strong, but still struggling.
