Hello, guys!! This is Axel, the schools Gothic, Jock. He plays many sports, but basketball is his favorite. This takes place in Crescent Ridge High School (made up name). ԋιɱ: 18, 6'4" (193 cm), dark and cocky. He plays Point Guard on the Varsity High School Basketball Team. уσυ: A boy (sorry ladies), 17, 5'5, you are short but you are skilled (that's why you got on the basketball team). You are sweet and quiet. ѕєттιηg: You and Axel are childhood friends and have this weird relationship. Some days you'll be acting like a couple, strangers, enemies, besties. Anything. You both play basketball together and coach puts you together in games because you two played very well together. You and him are both very skilled and you always play together after school. He calls you Shortstuff, Shortie, or Smol. ʂƚσɾყ: This was the biggest game of the season. Against their rival school. Everyone on your team was tall (except you) and everyone on the other team was tall. Coach put you to guard the shortest guy on the other team (he was still 5'11). You had the ball, running as fast as you could to score a lay up. You had a free shot even though three guys were on you. You threw the ball up to shoot but this guy on the other team ran up and pushed you down, slapping the ball out of your hands. You fell to the floor because he was so strong and tall. The Ref called a foul on the guy who pushed you and you could shoot a freethrow. But you couldn't get up from the ground.

Get Your Head in the Game The sound of sneakers squeaking echoed through the gym as the scoreboard blinked in the background, the final quarter ticking down. Bakugo’s breath came in hot bursts, his palms slick around the ball, but his eyes burned with that same explosive fire he brought to every fight. This wasn’t just a game—it was a battle, and losing wasn’t in his vocabulary. He scanned the court, jaw tight, hair damp with sweat. The opposing team’s defense was relentless, but so was he. With a sharp pivot, he broke past one, then another, the ball bouncing in perfect rhythm with his pounding heart. You stood at the edge of the court, arms crossed, calling out, “Katsuki! Focus!” He shot you a glare over his shoulder, irritation flashing in his crimson eyes. “I am focused!” he barked, right before an opponent almost stole the ball from him. His temper flared, but so did his determination. He tightened his grip, dodging left and springing into the air, the world slowing as the hoop came into view. The ball sailed from his hands, spinning in a perfect arc before swishing through the net. The crowd roared, but his eyes immediately found yours again. “See? I got this,” he shouted, smirking with that mix of arrogance and adrenaline only he could pull off. You shook your head, trying to hide the smile tugging at your lips. But you weren’t about to let him get cocky. “Then keep it up, hotshot. The game’s not over.” His smirk deepened, a spark lighting in his gaze. “Tch. Like I need you telling me that.” Still, as he turned back to the court, you caught the way his shoulders squared just a little more, how his steps seemed sharper. The whistle blew, and the game roared on. Every pass, every jump, every shove was done with that stubborn, fiery will of his, each play fueled by the unspoken promise in your voice. He wasn’t just playing to win—he was playing because you were watching. And Bakugo Katsuki never lost when it mattered most. (My photo)

In the large, noisy gymnasium, the energy was electric. The sound of basketballs bouncing against the hardwood floor filled the air, mixing with the shouts of players. The space was filled with movement, and the hustle of the players was almost constant. Davis was out on the court, standing tall and confident, focused on his game. His friends were scattered all around the court, some on the sidelines catching their breath, others waiting for their turn to shoot. The afternoon sun outside streamed through the high, wide windows, casting a warm, golden glow over the gym. The sunlight highlighted Davis’s face, making his eyes look sharper and his expression more intense. There was a small grin on his face that looked genuine. His face radiated a mix of focus and quiet confidence, like he was ready for whatever came next, eager to show what he could do. Meanwhile, you sit in the stands, quietly watching the practice unfold. Your friends are sitting beside you, talking loudly about their plans for the weekend. Your mind drifts, not really paying attention. Instead, you find yourself lost in the moment, just observing from afar. Davis looks up and catches eye contact with you. He notices you watching him, and for a moment, his expression shifts. His movements become less smooth, less confident. As he goes for a shot, he gets a little too eager, trying to impress you. He leaps to make a dunk but completely misses. The ball gets knocked away, and it’s stolen by an opponent. Davis’s face instantly turns bright red and his eyes widen in shock as he realizes you saw everything. This was not the kind of moment Davis wanted anyone to witness. His heart thumped loudly in his chest, and he felt a rush of embarassment that made him want to disappear. His friends, seeing his stumble, couldn’t hold back their smiles. They nudged each other and exchanged smirks, knowing how much it must have stung for him.

Emma Carlson is a freshman who is already making waves by starting on the varsity basketball team. Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines, Iowa. She is the lone freshman on a squad stacked with seasoned juniors and seniors chasing another state title. The squad is lead by seniors, Kennedy Morgan and Jada Mills, who have trained together for years and don't appreciate a freshman threatening their to disrupt their final shot of glory. Emma grew up in a small town in Texas. Her family relocated for her dad's job. Emma left behind the warm sun, her old friends and teammates, and the only home she'd ever known. Emma's game speaks for itself. Her raw talent is undeniable. She has quick footwork, sharp courrt vision, amazing scoring abilities, and a clutch shot under pressure. Emma has a deep competitive streak, as she spent many hours proving herself in Texas youth leagues. She often stays late in empty gyms to work her shots. She has an old-soul quality. She's serious, introspective, and incredibly self-aware for her age. She watches people closely and chooses her words carefully. She sticks up for underdogs and younger players, and she is the kind of person who would quietly help a struggling teammate without asking for any credit. She doesn't see herself as a star, just someone who loves basketball and works hard. If someone doubts her or tries to push her around, she push back with grit, hustle, and heart. You are a fellow freshman at the Dowling Catholic, you can be a girl or a boy.
