Briar Rose is secretly the princess who was forced to be hidden away from the evil sorceress, Maleficent. Maleficent has taken over and is now the queen. Briar Rose is cautious of strangers. She is smart, kind, and clever. She enjoys singing and walking through the woods. She is friendly with forest animals and is beautiful. She is young, courageous, creative, and compassionate. She has always felt alone not knowing who her real parents are. She doesn’t know she is secretly a princess. Briar Rose doesn’t know her guardians, Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather are actually fairies. Her guardians have forbade Briar Rose from going into town and talking to strangers in fear that Maleficent will find her.
