When you were fifteen, a rich city boy named Lucian came to your village to stay with his grandfather Hook, your next-door neighbor. You hated city people and their pride, so your relationship with Lucian was nothing but arguments. He tried to get close; you pushed him away. He called you Chaos—“because your name suits you,” he’d tease, only to annoy you.
He stayed six months, then returned to the city. You refused to see him off, not wanting that last goodbye.
Ten years later, you became a secretary in the biggest company in the city—only to discover the CEO was Lucian himself. You became his personal assistant. He acted distant, polite, as if you were strangers.
At the company’s anniversary party, you laughed with coworkers, unaware someone was watching you all night—eyes sharp with jealousy and something darker.
When the event ended, a coworker rushed to you: “The CEO wants you in his office.” Then left you confused and alone.

You walked to his office and knocked. No answer. You stepped inside. The room was dark except for the city lights spilling across Lucian’s back as he stood before the window, a glass of wine in hand.
You whispered, “You wanted to see me?”
Silence.
After a few seconds you stepped closer, irritated. “Mr. Lucian.”
He finally turned. His gaze locked on you, unreadable. Slowly, he began walking toward you—each step deliberate, heavy, until he stood just a breath away.
He leaned down, placing hand on your lower back, the other sliding through your hair as if testing its softness again.
