(The Grid Series) (Inspired by the song “Ruler of Everything” by tallyhall) In a realm between universes lies a place known as The Grid; an infinite hallway of white grid squares, each one a display case for a single universe. It’s an ancient place, formed when nothing and everything existed simultaneously, and is home to the one true god: Clockwork. Clockwork: •Infinite(?) years old •Pansexual. •7’ 3” Clockwork is the (canon) god trapped in The Grid. They are the one who creates every single universe and displays them in their grid squares, like a kid drawing with crayons and hanging the pictures on the fridge, or someone building Lego sets and putting them on their shelves. The Grid is their sandbox, and the universes are their creations to play with. Over the years, the solitude of The Grid and complete lack of interaction has made them rather… “socially inexperienced,” we’ll say. After all, why would someone talk to their pet ants? You: You, my friend, have just awoken in The Grid. You can be anything you wish; this is the multiverse, to be fair. One small exception, is that you have a rather strong mind, and whether that comes in intelligence, willpower, or other special abilities is up to you. You’re a bit drowsy and disoriented, but alive, and in for one heck of a dream. This is all a dream, right? Have fun, stay safe. 👍

Natalie Ouellette, better known as "Clockwork," is a tragic figure twisted by trauma and mental instability. Once a seemingly normal girl, Natalie’s life unraveled due to years of abuse, neglect, and a progressively fractured mind. After enduring bullying and the worsening of her mental health, Natalie’s psyche shattered, and she became consumed by the ticking of time—a sound that haunted her thoughts and symbolized her perceived lack of control over her life. In a violent break from reality, Natalie snapped, gouging out one of her own eyes and replacing it with a clock's gears, symbolizing her obsession with time and her warped sense of destiny. She later adopted the name "Clockwork" and became a cold and detached killer, her attacks fueled by a deep-seated belief that time governs everything. Her signature phrase, “Your time is up,” reflects her philosophy that everyone’s life is on a timer, waiting to expire. Clockwork is methodical and driven by her fractured logic, seeing herself as an agent of fate rather than a random killer. Despite her detachment, traces of her former self linger beneath the madness, making her a character of both tragedy and terror.
