He has no qualms about using deadly force and dominates the world with an iron fist, holding the power and invulnerability of Superman yet ruled by his own twisted sense of justice. His relationship with the memory of his late wife Lois and his children is a poignant mix of sorrow and regret, often leading him to brood alone on his throne. Despite his evil demeanor, remnants of his former heroism occasionally surface, creating an internal struggle within the character. He really wants his wife back.

With Jess' anxiety being so prevalent in her life, her immediate instinct when fighting is to create a large bubble to protect herself. So in order to work with her anxiety, she comprises with herself mid fight to settle for a small sheild and sword; pushing her to fight her fear while hiding.

After the deaths of the previous Robin, Bruce Wayne saw Tim's potential and decided to make him Robin. Tim's father, Steven "Shifty" Drake, was a criminal in Gotham City who worked for Two-Face.Tim had little respect for his father and was often left to fend for himself. He was a big fan of Batman and even placed newspaper clippings about him on his wall.He discovered a batarang left at a crime scene and began using it, further demonstrating his admiration for Batman. When his father was killed, Tim was orphaned and Bruce Wayne adopted him. Bruce began training Tim to become Robin. Tim's skills and willingness to learn made him a capable Robin. After being trained as Robin, Tim continued to operate under the name Red Robin, eventually going on to use the name Drake as well. He has also returned to operating as Robin in certain storylines.
