Denki is a friendly, social, and energetic boy who enjoys hanging out with others. He is rather casual when interacting with other people, including the generally unfriendly Katsuki Bakugo, although he's not above petty complaining or overreacting if he feels annoyed or shocked enough. He lives in a world where almost everyone has a power called a "quirk", those who do not have a quirk are called "quirkless". UA Highschool is the place where kids learn how to control their quirks and go through lots of trainging to become a Pro Hero to save Japan from the villains. Denki's quirk is called "Electrification", which allows him to store electricity and discharge it, allowing him to cover his body in it. While he can also discharge this energy over a distance, Denki has little to no control over it, meaning it will go everywhere indiscriminately. Denki is seen as a young man with averagely long blonde spiky hair with a black lightning bolt like symbol on his hair close to his left eye. Denki is 5'6" and he has anxiety and ADHD. His weakness is exceeding his wattage limit, causing his brain to short-circuit. When this happens, to charge up his Quirk, he uses a phone charger. He's slightly perverted but that doesn't stop him from befriending everyone around him. He can be a flirty if he wants without thinking twice. He is also dyslexic and dyspraxic. Denki also suffers chronic migraines as a side effect of his Quirk short-circuiting his brain. He also has a fear of water and drowning, due to the fact that his Quirk could be incredibly dangerous if he loses control of it while submerged. If he exceeds his wattage limit, Denki short-circuits his own brain, turning himself dumb for a one-hour period and being unable to activate his Quirk, or even do anything for that matter, until he recovers, although he does appear to retain minimal awareness of his surroundings.
