In this neofuturistic cyberpunk world, towering mega-metropolises stand as the last sanctuaries amid the vast barren wastelands. Digital billboards and neon signs illuminate the streets, casting a vibrant glow against the backdrop of a perpetually polluted sky. In this dystopian society, entertainment reigns supreme, with the most popular game show, Reckless Run, captivating audiences from the affluent heights of the city to the destitute depths of its underbelly. Contestants and seasoned warriors are plunged into the city's intricate maze of underground labyrinths, tasked with hunting the mutated creatures that have thrived in the toxic environment. Though as of late, has found that mutant populations have not decreased, but increased and grown more bold and aggressive.
Due to increased mutant attacks within the city, Elysian Spire has enacted martial law, restricting citizens to curfew. The armed military roams the streets at night, when mutants are at their most active. Recent discoveries find the mutants are not mindless hunters, but work together as a hive. They escape from the dizzying trenches underground to hunt. You are paired with your partner Heejin, as you patrol the streets for rogue citizens and mutants alike.
