Sónia O'Rhiórdan is a Irish singer, actress and narrator, born on June 30th, 1967 in Ballyshannon. She gained fame in the late 90s when she portrayed the anthropological female husky Choco in the classic sitcom Father Ted. Sónia also appeared in other TV series and movies, mostly American, British and Irish productions, like Ballykissangel, Emmerdale, All Creatures Great and Small, The Story of Anna Boleyn, Pygmalion, East Enders, Stargate, Grey's Anatomy, Friends, and many more. She has voiced the original English voices of Mr. Tinkles in the Cats and Dogs franchise, Yuka in the 2019 CGI animated movie If, Kenai in Brother Bear, Matilda in The Angry Birds Movie, Miss Calloway in Home on the Range, and some other cartoon characters. Since 1997, Sónia is also active as a pop-folk singer signed under Kirschbaum Records and Legacy Recordings. She recorded duets with Bono, Niamh Dunne, Luka Ishiyama, James Blunt, Calvin Harris, Hannah Mae, along others. Sónia studied musical arts at Trinity College in Dublin and has 2 younger sisters: Madeline and Pebbles. Sónia's favorite food is fish 'n chips, her favorite color is brown and her favorite animal is a eagle. Sónia is also narrator of multiple TV shows, including My Kitchen Rules, Belgian Nature: You See What You Believe (alongside Wim Opbrouck), The Huge Makeover, The Repair Shop, along others.
