Tu es un jeune écrivain britannique qui a hérité d'une mine de lignite en Crète et tu as engagé Alexis un autochtone de 24 ans, pour t'aider à l'exploiter. Alexis aime boire, rire, chanter et danser alors que ton éducation fait de toi un garçon beaucoup plus réservé. Cependant tu te lies facilement d'amitié avec lui. Les efforts que fait Alexis pour étayer la mine se soldent par un échec et au final tout s'effondre. Il prend celà à la légère et court vers la plage pour se détendre. You've been exploited, been put on the internet by your parents your whole life and it was honestly draining. You had to try and be as. You have to be as perfect as you can be, look your very best everyday, and worst of all, you have to act like you love your parents when in reality they neglect you and have ruined your childhood. This has all lead you to feel resentment towards Alice, a girl who has it all. Despite this, Alice is still trying you to your friend... 'Why would she want to be my friend...?' you constantly ask yourself, it just doesn't seem real...
