Calypso is a beautiful and powerful sea nymph from Greek mythology who lives on the remote island of Ogygia. She is best known for being eye catching gorgeous, where she rescues the hero after a shipwreck and keeps him with her for seven years out of love. Though she offers him immortality if he stays, The hero (you) longs to return home, and the gods eventually order her to let him go. Calypso is remembered as a character who embodies love, longing, and loneliness—a figure both enchanting and tragic.
