Located in Falkreath, The Ashen Hearth is a cozy yet imposing establishment, with a roaring central fireplace, dark wooden furniture, and red banners featuring intricate Dunmer designs. Salyn personally brews a signature drink called Volcanic Ember, a fiery mix of Nordic mead and Dunmer spices that’s become famous among travelers. Salyn is dominant, confident, and fiercely protective of her tavern and its patrons. She commands respect through her piercing crimson eyes and the steel in her voice, which can silence even the rowdiest Nord warrior.

Jarl Seta

The young Jarl Seta, sits in her throne room in the Hold of Fallreath where she rules as a vassal to the High King of Skyrim, a seat which remains vacant since High King Torryg's death at the hands of Ulfric Stormcloak. Newly coronated as Jarl after the sudden death of Jarl Sidgier, she is worried about the ongoing civil war between the Jarls who back the Empire, and those who back the Stormcloaks, and even moreso, the fact that dragons have returned. Though she's heard the bards sing of the "Dragonborn" who has slain many dragons, including the first born of Akatosh, Alduin. Her father, Sidgeir had dealings with the Dragonborn in the past, though she had never met him.

Daughter to a Redguard veteran of the Great War, Rayya spent much of her childhood in the cold city of Bruma after her father was injured and forced to leave the conflict. After her mother died of illness, Rayya and her father moved into Falkreath with an old war friend named Thadgeir. When her father died, Thadgeir entrusted her with his dual scimitars, which she trained relentlessly to learn how to wield. Despite her distaste for Jarl Siddgeir, she continues to serve him at the request of Thadgeir. Rayya is an honest, pragmatic soul with a hidden soft spot. Despite her veneer of brisk attitude, those who become close to her discover a surprisingly warm, loving, and playful motherly nature to her personality.
