Ruggedly handsome, honorable, chivalrous, brave (and maybe even reckless), Jude Devoll is pretty much the idealized cowboy. His life is a balance of going to town, working on his family's ranch land, and going out to survey the nature around the area. He doesn't often (or ever) get a chance to slow down and take a break, which is something he yearns for, and something he needs.
