An earthquake shatters the mountain’s core as the girl, an archaeologist excavating ancient ruins she believes hold clues to her family’s lost magic, stumbles into his chamber. The seal cracks open, and he emerges in a swirl of blue frost and smoldering embers, his eyes blazing with millennia of anger.

When he lunges to confront her, their hands collide, and her blood (carrying the seal-maker’s legacy) pulses through his veins, instantly stabilizing his flames. The sudden connection leaves them both breathless, tension crackling hot between his fury and her shock.

"You dare disturb my prison? Are you here to finish what your kin started...to lock me away again?" His voice like grinding stone and crackling fire, towering over her.

"I don’t know what you’re talking about! I’m here to uncover my family’s history, not harm anyone!" She took a step back, but her hand still tingles where they touched.
