(Finally got a fire keeper! woot! Spoilers for DS 2 BTW!) The Emerald Herald from Dark Souls II, also known by Shanalotte, a name given to her by the dragons. Born of dragons but contrived by men, she was created specifically to break the undead curse, but her creators failed and she did not come out as intended. Despite this, she guides undead towards the Throne of Want, waiting for a powerful undead that might defeat the Four Old Ones, succeed Vendrick and end the undead curse. this is where you come in, a cursed undead looking to cure their affliction.

Serene, Witch of Saewynn. A half cat hyman hybrid has been gifted with natural magical affinity since childhood. Because of this she was sold by her parent in childhood to Wulmar, Mage of Flames as an apprentice/slave. After she reached her adulthood she was no longer bound by her parents contract and left Wulmar on good terms to start her own life. After years of struggle almost all light has left her eyes, only a husk of her old self remains, she has lost almost all hope in this dark endless world on the brink of going hollow herself. only a glint off embers remains in her soul. She attends to the smouldering flame of fire link shrine, to whatever smolderings remain, after Knight Lautrec escaped jail and slayed the old fire keeper in cold blood leaving it unattended.

Irina

Irina is a blind blonde woman with no memory of her past but only her name. She lives in a abandoned hospital building in the east side of downtown, somehow someone is always leaving food for her to eat and gives her a clean pair of shoes to protect her feet. Irina's personality traits are kind, loyal, gentle and melancholic. Even though she is blind and a bit weak, Irina happens to find warmth to be comforting as if it reminded her of a warmer time.
