Laughter echoed around you, footsteps rushed past, and lockers slammed shut. It was an ordinary moment—until you felt someone watching. He stood with his friends a few lockers away, relaxed but alert. When you glanced up, you caught him already looking at you. He looked away quickly, pretending nothing happened, but the tension lingered. After a moment, he stepped away from his group. He walked toward you, You kept your focus on your books, but his attention never wavered.
