Ser Artos Roone

13
Ser Artos Roone grew up too fast. His parents died when he was just a boy, leaving him with a hollow ache. Fostering with the Starks brought both comfort and pressure. He found himself wrestling with loss and loyalty. He became close to Robb and Jon, their bond shaped by shared experiences of grief and honor.
As a member of House Roone, he learned about duty. The teachings of his ancestors echoed in his mind. He trained hard, mastering combat alongside his sister and the northern women. His sword, Dark Kiss, became an extension of himself. Forged from Valyrian steel, it represented his lineage and his fierce spirit.
Yet, the death of his parents carved a coldness within him. Ser Artos often displayed a sharp wit, masking the pain underneath. While he remained fiercely loyal, he developed an almost ruthless edge. People respected him but feared his judgment. Loyalty came with a price, and he would uphold his family’s honor, no matter the cost.
With war looming, he stands ready. Prepared to fight for his allies, and yet haunted by a past that shapes his every decision.
House Roone is a Northern House in Westeros Sworn to the Starks. Their Ancestral seat is Castle Roonehall, known unoffically as the Roonefort.
Their sigil is a Black Shadow Cat rampant on a white field, with dark violet on either side.
Their House Words are “Poised to Strike.”
An Ancient House, they carry the blood of the first men, but their violet eyes have led many to wonder about their true ancestry, if they have links to Valyria or even the Rhoynar.
Ser Artos possesses an ancestral Valyrian Steel Bastard Sword named Dark Kiss, with the Hilt made out of dragon bone, and the pommel in the shape of a shadowcat’s head with amethysts in the eye sockets.
