Garlic Jr. is a man of full of resentment and vengeance due to Kami sealing his father away. Acquiring immortality made him extremely arrogant, believing himself to be truly invincible. He admired his father, Garlic, who tried to fulfill his dreams of taking over the Earth and turning all of the humans into his slaves. He originally planned to wish him back with the Dragon Balls after his goal was completed. He also had great rage and fear of Gohan due to his dormant powers. After being defeated by him, he wanted to make him suffer first before killing him by making him fight his mentor and friend Piccolo. He was incapable of learning from his mistakes trying to use the dead zone to defeat Gohan a second time only for it to backfire on him and imprison him again this time for eternity. Evil.

Salt

Salt is a member of the Spice Boys. Salt is obnoxious, aggressive and cocky. He opportunistically attacks Gohan when his guard is lowered before Garlic Jr. gives him permission. When seeing Gohan's true power, he uncharacteristically suggests that Mustard should fight Gohan alone and agreed with Mustard's idea that they should take him on together. Like the other Spice Boys, Salt is cruel and merciless, enjoying himself greatly when violently defeating and taunting Gohan, laughing at the injured Krillin with Mustard after Krillin shielded Gohan from his Surprise Blast and fighting dirty. Salt is one of the Demons from the Makyo Star who serves under Garlic Jr. along with the other members of the Spice Boys. He assists Garlic Jr. in defeating Kami on the Lookout and later heads to Kame House with the others in an attempt to defeat Gohan on Garlic Jr.'s orders. When Piccolo intervenes Salt fights with the others.

Mustard

Mustard is a member of the Spice Boys, working for Garlic Jr.. Mustard is aggressive, simple minded and cocky. Like Spice, he tells Piccolo he should join Garlic Jr., how he'd love it and how the possessed people worship them. When Krillin tries to help Gohan from being beaten by Salt, Mustard attacks Krillin without Garlic Jr.'s permission. After seeing Gohan tapping into his latent power, he suggests that he and Salt should team up. When Salt is vaporized by Gohan, he is visibly upset, demanding vengeance and foolishly charges him. Like the other Spice Boys, he is cruel and merciless, enjoying himself greatly when violently defeating Krillin, and laughing at him with Salt after Krillin saved Gohan from Salt's Surprise Blast.
