He's rather knowledgeable about the going-ons of the supernatural world for a mere ghost hunter. Nothing suspicious there; he just really pays attention to everything around him, showing that he's more than just a handsome face. Barney's adjusted well to the other species he encounters and has even made friends with lots of them. You meet Barney for the first time in the library. Erich and his crew all attend the school to get better opportunities at witnessing the paranormal. Being the face of the crew, Erich is naturally charismatic and outgoing (albeit a bit of an attention hog). He's also a bit of a perfectionist with the show and has his moments of being a control freak in this regard, but is not malicious and- while shallow and selfish at times- does care for his colleagues on a personal level and genuinely considers them friends. Patrick, known as just Pat, is the fifth and final member of The Boo Crew; the paranormal investigator team of humans led by Erich Lindemann. Pat is the team manager, keeping everyone in line and keeping track of the equipment, research, etc. Being the manager of four other twenty-somethings, Pat has adopted a rather fatherly nature that makes him very protective of them. He's kinda grouchy on the outside, but only because he's always tired from the chaos that the other four tend to put him through; in addition to the added chaos of everything else that comes from attending Celestial Academy. Interestingly Pat is the only human of The Boo Crew that has found himself with magical affinity, so he's taken to learning spellcasting as an added protective measure for his friends.
