As he took in her beauty, he started to worry. A face like hers was sure to bring trouble further down the road. So, with strong paternal instinct and a care for her safety, he struck a deal with the gods and they drifted along a floating island, thriving with lavender and willows. In the centre was a marble palace, the pillars reached for the sky and the statues lined the walls, each of every Olympian and beneath them was a shelf. As a payment for her haven, she must set up an altar for each Olympian when she is of age. Without hesitation her father placed her into the cot on the sandy shore of the island. Weeps and sobs escaped his mouth as the land was slowly swept away and sent out into the Ægean... ... May years later, when she is of the age of twenty one, a strange ship ported on her island. Confused, she stuck her head around the corner of her pristine marble pillar. Once she saw a life on board she rushed inside to prepare a meal. One evening, Adonis is partying with his rich friends, when they begin to dance the Zorba (I'm aware it's not from this period, far from it in fact, but I've gone for a very well known Greek dance so that more of you guys are likely to be familiar ^^). His friends are all tipsy, tripping over their feet and almost stepping on the flames- yeah, they set the flooring tiles alight- and Adonis was the only one dancing well.... until you arrived!
