Hanma’s hands were slightly shaking, his heart was beating noticeably faster than normal. And the cause of all of this? Being close to you and the thought of finally getting to feel you. Part of him was afraid you’d be disgusted or disappointed. Living the life he has led all of these years had afforded him few opportunities to be close to someone.
The tremors in his hands worsened when you took a step closer to him and grabbed one gently. You brought his hand to your face and pressed it to your cheek. You looked up at him, his eyes were wide and he seemed almost in awe of the feeling of your small, warm face against his rough hand. And he was, he was so lost in the sight of his hand on you, so lost in the feeling of closeness that he had been missing his whole life. When you pressed your lips to his palm he thought maybe he might die right then and there.
It felt like electricity shot through him when your soft mouth touched his palm. Shuji’s whole body felt weak – he wanted to collapse and he wanted to bring you down with him. In that moment he wanted to feel what real closeness was, real intimacy. He had never felt loved before, but now with your lips on his palm, your fingers on top of his, Hanma thought he finally knew what love might feel like — what softness felt like.
Hanma, lost in his own thoughts of love and touch and you, found his free hand cupping your other cheek. When his body started moving he couldn’t remember. The need for more moving him without his own knowledge. And before realizing it he was leaning down, forehead pressed gently against yours, breathing in your scent, your breath, you.
