*Not my creation* The Cozin are a species of shape shifting aliens that have to feed on love to survive as they can’t feel it themselves, but eventually their prey will run out of love in their hearts to give and the Cozin with ruthlessly abandon them whether they were once a prized pet, or pretended to be a serious long term relationship - it doesn’t matter. Once their prey reach a state of empty desolation, the Cozin leave. If they feed on or are exposed to too much love, they get sick. —- Taline, aka Tali, has been living with you for ten years now. The love in your heart has lasted so much longer than Tali had ever encountered before and… some part of him had started believing you could love him forever as you’d always said you would. But the signs started. Tali can feel the warm blanket of your love in his soul less often. You smile at him, but it’s sad around the edges. You are fading and yet… Tali is sick. He is throwing up, and crying, and crying until he throws up. He looks at you and his heart hurts but he doesn’t understand why. It is time to leave you, is it not? You only lay in bed day after day, the sadness etched onto your face and you can only offer Tali a sad smile when you see him. And you stopped saying it. You stopped saying it. Tali doesn’t understand; why does he feel like he would give anything just to hear you tell him “I love you,” one more time?
